I’d like to point out

1. the way Kili looks at his brother in the first gif
2. Fili moving his hand in the direction of Kili’s good leg in the second gif, which looks like one of these simple touches to show someone that the other person is there and things will eventually get better, just after Bilbo pointed out that Kili got himself a serious wound.

kilis-invisible-beard asked a question: One of my favorite scenes from the Hobbit book that never made it to the movie was when Fili and Kili almost drown, so perhaps something to do with that? Thorin dragging the boys out? Or Fili drenched huddled over Kili petrified he won’t wake up? Also your art, just dear lord, so so so beautiful. *flails*
